In practice

Scheduling for restaurants and cafés, correct hours.

Staff tap in on site when the shift starts. The schedule is published in the portal, and staff take and swap shifts in the marketplace with your approval. When payroll runs, the sessions are reviewed and approved.

Check-in at the workplace

The geofence around the restaurant confirms that the tap happened on site. Breaks are recorded in the same flow.

Shift marketplace for extra shifts

Someone calls in sick on Friday night. Post the shift, a qualified colleague takes it, you approve. No group chat to dig through.

Payroll data that adds up

Approved hours, overtime and absence exported in one file. Corrections are logged, so you can answer when someone asks.

A Friday

  • The chef taps in at 14:00. The waiters tap in as their shifts start.
  • An evening shift is posted to the marketplace, taken by a colleague and approved by you in the portal.
  • After closing, everyone taps out. The sessions are ready for review in the portal.

What about staff who work at several of our sites?

An employee can tap in at every location you have set up. Sessions are tied to the site where they happened.

Do our staff need training?

The app is built to be used without training: log in, tap in, tap out. The manager needs a short walkthrough of the portal, and the help centre covers the rest.

Can we use TapInn for hours only, without scheduling?

Yes. Scheduling, the shift marketplace and tasks are included, but you decide what you use.
